Comparison between form based and syntax based query building

Many friends of mine have questions and doubts regarding the “Specialized Syntax based Query Building” system. They would, however, prefer the “Form-based Query Building”. Why do we need such a system, when the conventional system is working fine ? Why does the user have to type a “Specialized Syntax”, can’t he just use SQL ? and many more questions arise. Lets consider the following scenario :

“A local newsletter-based company has to keep a check on its members, their subscription details. But, they have no system in-place. But, now with the help of newly recruited young staff, they have started to grow. As their enterprise is expanding, they have now felt the need of a Members management system. The management staff, however, is a genius in management, but they are not so good at SQL or databases. So, they call their friend, who is also a developer to get the job done for them.”

Aha ! My first blog post, again…!!

I think I am contributing to the world, but I am not. I think I love my work, but I do not. I think I am cool, people do not, perhaps they are just a being sarcastic. I am a normal guy who loves to tell people about their typical humorous nature, which they sometimes ignore. But, its all a part and parcel of life, so here I present to you the unveiling of my new blog after my not-so-profound  previous blogs (Weird Guy Weird Thoughts and not-everyone-knows-i-had-another-blog), the tidbits from a ludicrous mind.

Blogging after quite sometime, again. I just don’t know what happens to me when I am regularly blogging !? I guess it gets monotonous to me and then I break the monotony.

But, now I am gonna blog myself to glory ! Perhaps, that was just me being over-ambitious. Yes, but seriously, I am back guys. And I just hope, this time it doesn’t become monotonous to me.
